Central Illinois Aikikai prides itself on a strong tradition of involving children in Aikido.

Youth Classes -- for children of ages 7-13.

Aikido offers an opportunity to study a martial art in a non-violent and non-competitive atmosphere. Emphasis is on etiquette, safety, self-control, concentration and flexibility.

Class meets on Tuesdays 5:30-6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays 10:30-11:45 a.m.

Children can try the first two classes for free. Beginners should wear loose, comfortable clothing (such as a t-shirt and exercise pants that go below the knee).

Cost: $25 per month/2 classes per week for the first child; each additional sibling, $15 per month.
