*Mixed class for newcomers and regular members. First hour will include introductory movement and basic techniques; last half hour will feature more advanced techniques at the instructor's discretion.
This is the normal class schedule, any changes will be announced on the front page (cancellations or time changes on a specific date).
Please note: Evening classes will be cancelled anytime the heat index is 100 degrees or more. On hot weather days, the local TV stations and weather-related websites usually state the heat index number, or they state the temperature, and say that it "feels like ______". Please check before coming to class on these days.
Fees Dojo Member: Dojo members are entitled to attend any or all of the many classes offered each week, and may practice as a visitor at other USAF dojos for a reduced (or no) mat fee. Members may also participate in intensive training seminars held throughout the federations, and may count practice hours toward taking promotional exams.
Cost: Member dues - $50 per month (reduced price of $40 per month for college and high school students), plus $35 per year for USAF dues. Family dues - $60 per month.
Introductory Adult Classes: Introductory classes are currently offered on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Emphasis is on introduction of basic techniques, etiquette, and safety, allowing individuals to experience aikido with other beginners at a moderate pace.
Cost: $50 per 8-week session/2-3 classes per week. New students are welcome to join at any time.
Youth Classes: For children and teenagers, aikido offers an opportunity to study a martial art in a non-violent and non-competitive atmosphere. Emphasis is on etiquette, safety, self-control, concentration and flexibility. Open to children aged 7-13 years.
Cost: $25 per month (further discounts available for additional siblings)

The dojo is conveniently located in downtown Urbana. There is ample street parking and there is also a parking lot across the street. The dojo is located on the second floor above the Cinema Art Gallery (our entrance door is right next to Mirabelle Bakery.)
